New-Look Launches

After experiencing unprecedented growth the last two years, Lacrosse Magazine Online ( got a facelift, courtesy of PrestoSports. A redesigned, revamped version of the Web site launched Tuesday night.

Since joining the PrestoSports network in February 2009, LMO's viewership has nearly tripled, including nearly 2.4 million page views in 2010. In addition to a new color scheme and improved functionality, we launched several new features, plus a mobile version of the site. While some of these components remain under development, we're pretty juiced. Here are five ways you can take advantage of the new-look LMO.

1. Follow your favorite team exclusively.

Every college and pro lacrosse team now has a home at that includes a schedule, standings and news related only to that team. You can even subscribe to individualized RSS feeds that will update you automatically with news and scores for each team.

2. See the latest buzz on Facebook and Twitter.

Improved social media integration includes a Facebook tab where you can follow and "like" Lacrosse Magazine and interact with like-minded lacrosse fans. You'll also find Twitter feeds from Lacrosse Magazine and featured writers in LMO's new blog section (, plus direct links to our YouTube channel.

3. Interact with our award-winning writers.

The aforementioned blog section (where this page resides) is the new destination for quick-hitting quips, analysis and cutting-room-floor material. Viewers can browse blogs using PrestoSports' accordion tabs by author, month and/or topic. We will also continue to provide live blogs ( from big games and events as the season unfolds.

4. Browse, watch, listen and learn.

See the season in images with galleries from our photographers and in videos with highlights and interviews. Listen to audio podcasts. Raise your game with instructional videos. It's all easier with improved multimedia integration on the home page and the new (but still developing)

5. Get news and scores on your phone with our mobile-friendly platform.

LMO is now available in both desktop and mobile formats. Punch into your smartphone, and you'll find a friendlier look with instant access to news and scores.

You'll also notice in the coming weeks schedule and scoreboard enhancements. Some that we've made already include the sliding scoreboard and a more easily navigable scores/schedule page. Comments? Suggestions? Bugs to report? Leave a comment below or e-mail and we'll do our best to accomodate.
