Denver's Barton Stadium Sold Out; $500 Tickets Sold

Do It In Denver. If you want a successful lacrosse event, just put it in Denver.

Look at what's happening for Sunday's NCAA Division I men's tournament game, the first tournament game to be held west of the Mississippi River.

Barton Stadium, capacity 2,000, is sold out, and according to The Denver Post, $500 "lawn" tickets have been sold.

The lawn, I'm told by editor Matt DaSilva, is the best place in the stadium area to watch a game, so maybe that's why the price is high ... but still, $500 to watch a lacrosse game? Have you ever heard about that before?

Just another reason to tune in to the game Sunday (5:15 p.m. Eastern, ESPNU), when the sixth-ranked Pioneers host Villanova. Because, apparently, getting a ticket to be there in person is tough.
