Hartford's Top Scorer, Jack Bobzien,
Transfers to Denver

America East all-rookie midfielder Jack Bobzien is transferring from Hartford to Denver, Pioneers coach Bill Tierney told on Wednesday.

Bobzien led Hartford in scoring last season as a freshman with 48 points on 15 goals and 33 assists during a 7-7 campaign. He is a Colorado native and was Hartford's first-ever recruit from the state. He helped lead Arapahoe (Colo.) High to a pair of state titles, the latter coming in a perfect 19-0 season in 2012.

Bobzien will compete for playing time in a Denver offense featuring new personnel after the departures of Eric Law, Cam Flint and Chase Carraro. The cupboard is not bare for the Pioneers, who have made national title game appearances in two of the last three years.

Wes Berg (56 goals, 16 assists in 2013) returns for his junior season, as does senior midfielder Jeremy Noble (11 goals, seven assists in limited action while battling a hamstring injury). Incoming recruit Zach Miller, from the Hill Academy (Ontario), is expected to start immediately, either at attack or midfield, and attackman Eric Adamson (27 goals, 13 assists) will be a junior.
