'Time, Room, Bullseye Podcast' with Eamon McAnaney
This week's rundown:
* Can Harvard and Towson handle success? (Open), and Eamon's Top 20 (See Below)
* What's next step out West? (15:50)
Denver vs. Notre Dame.
No. 1 vs. No. 2, as they have been since the preseason.
It's time Sunday at 5:30 p.m. ET on ESPNU.
Is it the most competitive rivalry in lacrosse right now? The numbers seem to say so.
Since 2011, the total amount of goals scored by each side is 62-60 in favor of the Pioneers. Makes sense that four of the six meetings went to overtime, including a pair of matchups last year.
The last, of course, was in last year's NCAA semifinal round at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
With that as the backdrop, Eamon welcomes Denver coach Bill Tierney to the "Time, Room, Bullseye Podcast" to talk about the upcoming matchup and much more.
"This is why kids come to places like Denver and Notre Dame," Tierney says.
He says he thinks the programs enjoy a mutual respect for one another as relative lacrosse outposts.
"There is enjoyment of watching each other rise to the top. ... Now you have two really good teams over the past 4-5 years that get after each other and want to be the best in the country."
Each Tuesday during the college season, McAnaney will share his thoughts on news, results and other happenings in the lacrosse world and interview a notable personality from the game, getting to know him or her both on the field and off.
