Le Moyne Duo Earns NE-10 Honors

from press release

SOUTH EASTON, Mass. – Le Moyne College sophomore goalkeeper Jeff White (Buffalo, N.Y./Canisius HS) and freshman midfielder Kam Bumpus (Marshfield, Mass./Needham/Bridgton Academy) have been honored by the Northeast-10 Conference with weekly awards, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday afternoon.

White, honored as the conference's goalkeeper of the week for the first time this season and for the third time in his career, stopped the only shot on goal he faced in 30 minutes of action to earn the win in fourth-ranked Le Moyne's 20-2 victory over Lees-McRae on Friday afternoon in Baltimore, Maryland.

Bumpus, named the conference's rookie of the week for the first time, scored his first two collegiate goals in the victory over Lees-McRae. He also went 10-for-10 at the face-off "X", with both goals coming directly off face-off wins, and grabbed eight ground balls.

Le Moyne (2-1), which posted its largest margin of victory against Lees-McRae since a 21-1 win over Franklin Pierce on April 6, 2009, returns to action on Saturday at home against Franklin Pierce at 1:00 p.m.
