Former Naz Standout Amidon Joins Hartwick

ONEONTA, N.Y. - Former Division III All-American Chad Amidon will begin his first season as assistant coach on the Hartwick College men's lacrosse staff.

Amidon, a 2007 graduate of Nazareth College, received many accolades during his tenure with the men's lacrosse program. He was a four-time Empire 8 all-star and received Division III First Team All-America accolades his senior year.

While attending Naz, Amidon interned with the intramurals and recreation department, preparing intramural leagues each semester. He also managed game day operations, which included set up of facilities for daily sporting contests, managing ticket sales, scoring, and security.

During the summer, Amidon has coached in several camps including, Nazareth Lacrosse Camps, Players Choice Lacrosse Camp (Dartmouth, MA), Newtown Youth Camp (Newtown, CT), and Onondaga Brine Upstate Lacrosse League (Syracuse, NY).

After his stint at Nazareth, Chad played in Major League Lacrosse (MLL) for the Rochester Rattlers for two seasons. He is currently a member of the Rochester Greywolves Semi-Professional Indoor Lacrosse Team.

Amidon hails from Marcellus, NY where was a standout athlete at Corcoran High School, earning all-league three out of four years. In May of 2007, Amidon earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Nazareth College.
