BALTIMORE – A MCLA national semifinalist a year ago, the Arizona State Sun Devils are the No. 1 team in the preseason MCLA rankings for 2014.

Arizona State finished 2013 with an 18-3 record and took the SLC tournament – avenging one of its losses from the year by topping Chapman in the semifinals. In the nationals, the Sun Devils topped Georgia and UC Santa Barbara before falling to Colorado by one goal in the final.

Defending National Champion Colorado State comes in at No. 2 after its perfect 21-0 season, capped by the 7-2 win over Colorado in the finals. The Buffalos are No. 3 entering 2014, followed by Brigham Young and Chapman to round out the Top 5.
