Returning IWLCA first-team All-Americans Taylor Cummings (Maryland), Alyssa Murray (Syracuse), Sloane Serpe (North Carolina), Barb Sullivan (Notre Dame), Kayla Treanor (Syracuse) and Taylor Virden (Duke) anchor Lacrosse Magazine's preseason listing of "Best Bets" for the 2014 NCAA Division I women's lacrosse All-American selections.

Four teams -- No. 1 North Carolina, No. 2 Maryland, No. 3 Syracuse and No. 5 Duke -- each have two selections.

In 2013, Cummings and Treanor joined Maryland's Karri Ellen Johnson (2009) as the only freshmen to earn IWLCA first-team All-American honors in this millennium. Sullivan, a sophomore in 2013, was the youngest player in Notre Dame history to earn the distinction.

Murray is Lacrosse Magazine's Preseason Player of the Year.

Editor's Note: North Carolina midfielder Brittney Coppa alsowas selected for this list in the February print edition of Lacrosse Magazine. Since that time, she tore her ACL and will miss the 2014 season, but could potentially return next year as a medical redshirt if she chooses.
