This is a rematch of a tight game from a year ago (Georgetown won 13-10), and there is a bit of extra subtext.

The Tigers handed Team USA — coached by Georgetown's Ricky Fried — its first loss in five years during the Stars and Stripes weekend in the fall.

Both teams are 1-0 on the actual season at hand, with Towson taking a 11-6 win over UMBC behind Andi Raymond and Ashleigh Rohrback. Georgetown routed Delaware in its opener while dominating at the draw 24-8.

Saturday's game will be the 19th all-time meeting between two schools.

Georgetown leads the series 10-8 and has won 10 straight in the match-up. That includes a 13-10 win last year in Washington, D.C.

The last Tigers' win in the series came during the 1993 season finale at Georgetown (W, 15-4).

This game follows the Georgetown-Towson men's game at the same location.
