from press release

GAFFNEY, S.C. - Freshman attacker Katie Farrell (Brooks, Ga.) scored a game-high four goals as No. 5 Limestone (2-0, 2-0 CC) notched an 18-4 victory over St. Andrews Presbyterian (0-2, 0-2) in a Division II women's lacrosse game on Saturday, February 26.

The Saints put the game well out of reach early as they raced out to a 12-1 advantage after the first 30 minutes of play. The Knights would step up defensively in the second half and score three goals of their own but it would not be nearly enough as Limestone registered six more scores to close out the 18-4 victory.

Megan Jolly scored a pair of goals and added an assist to lead SAPC while Kim McDaniel finished with a goal and an assist. Brett Vyverberg added the only other score of the day and Meghan Powell suffered the loss in goal as she surrendered all 18 goals while making five saves.

Katie Farrell connected on all four of her shots to pace the Saints while junior attacker Racquel Prager (Seaford, N.Y.) delivered three scores and an assist for a four-point day. Freshman midfielder Jessica Aguanno (Delray Beach, Fla.) joined her with three goals and freshman attacker Sarah Oor (Uxbridge, Canada) finished with a pair of goals and an assist.

Sophomore midfielder Chelsea Treat (Penn Yan, N.Y.), junior attackers Kelly Lalonde (Henrietta, N.Y.), Lauren Smith (Greer, S.C.) and Lindsay Malecki (Baldwinsville, N.Y.) each notched solo goals. They were joined by sophomore attacker Ali Schumacher (Gainesville, Va.) and freshman midfielder Kacie Harris (Stanley, N.Y.) with a score apiece.

Defensively, senior defender Erin Growney (Rochester, N.Y.) and junior midfielder Jessie Aguglia (Webster, N.Y.) each recorded four ground balls while sophomore goal keeper Rashelle McLellan (East Lyme, Conn.) played the first half and collected the victory to move to 2-0 on the season.

On the game, Limestone outshot SAPC 25-10.
