No. 10 Lock Have Dispatches East Stroudsburg

– The No. 10 Lock Haven University lacrosse team (3-4, 1-1 PSAC) got a total team effort on the way to a dominating 22-5 win over visiting East Stroudsburg University (3-5, 1-2 PSAC) today in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action.

Lock Haven's offense exploded for a season-best 22 goals and The Haven's defense was in full shutdown mode, causing nine turnovers on the way to the lopsided win.

LHU's 22 goals came from 12 players including Elyse Fisher (Jackson, N.J./Jackson Memorial) and Chelsea Borrino (Webster, N.Y./Webster Thomas), who both netted tricks.

Jill Murray (Kennett Square, Pa./Unionville), Kelly Hamilton (Warrington, Pa./Central Bucks South), Meg McNally (Hillburn, N.Y./Suffern), Kate McKague (Lake Worth, Fla./Park Vista), Rachel Ward (Fishers, Ind./Bishop Chatard) and Ashley Molina (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) all recorded two-goal games for Lock Haven.

Murray and Kayleigh Johnson (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) both dished out two assists.

Fisher was all over the field for Lock Haven. She had one caused turnover, two ground balls and five draw controls to go along with her three goals.

Clare Gaeng (Frederick, Md./Governor Thomas Johnson) was one of nine Haven players with a caused turnover. She also had three ground balls.

Goalie Heather Sacko (Fairport, N.Y./Fairport) picked up the win and recorded two first-half saves. Nicole Necci (Jackson, N.J./Jackson Memorial) played the second half in net and recorded five saves.

Lock Haven is right back at it tomorrow (Saturday, March 31) when the Lady Eagles host local-rival and 15th ranked Bloomsburg University.
