Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. Unbeaten champions were crowned on an exciting Sunday slate.

No. 1 North Carolina proved every bit the national title favorite, dominating Notre Dame in the ACC semifinals (18-4) and capping the conference championship with a 9-4 victory over Syracuse on Sunday afternoon.

Goalie Taylor Moreno was named ACC Tournament MVP for a second time, and the Tar Heels took home their fifth straight conference title.

Northwestern remained undefeated, sweeping through Rutgers (24-14) and getting past a test from Maryland (17-12) to take home the Big Ten championship. Izzy Scane dropped nine goals in the championship game victory, and she was named the tournament MVP. Check out the recap.

In the other Sunday conference tournament finals, Abby Hormes had six goals and seven draw controls to lead High Point past Radford for the Big South title. Caitlyn Petro set a single-season program record in draw controls to help UMass win its first Atlantic 10 championship since 2017.

2. North Carolina and Duke men split the ACC regular-season title

The two teams met on Sunday afternoon at a beautiful Kenan Stadium in Chapel Hill. Chris Gray had three goals and three assists to lead the Tar Heels to the 15-12 win, allowing North Carolina and Duke to share the conference crown. With no ACC tournament, both teams will next suit up in the NCAA tournament. Read the recap here.

3. Villanova men’s lacrosse dismantled unbeaten Lehigh on Saturday.

The Wildcats were outmatched by Mike Sisselberger at the faceoff X but won every other major category to fuel a 16-8 upset victory over Lehigh. Colin Crowley had four goals and an assist in the big win, which bolstered Villanova’s resume heading toward the NCAA tournament.

Also Saturday, fifth-seeded Michigan and sixth-seeded Johns Hopkins each pulled off upset wins in the Big Ten quarterfinals. Connor DeSimone had three goals and three assists to lead the Blue Jays to their first win since March, while Michigan won its first-ever conference tournament game thanks to a hat trick from freshman Michael Boehm.

4. Taryn Ohlmiller made her senior day count.

The Stony Brook star scored eight goals to lead the Seawolves to the big win over UMBC on Saturday afternoon. Also in action on Saturday, Fairfield avoided the upset bid from Marist in the MAAC quarterfinals and Hofstra won in the final minute over Towson in CAA play.

5. Andy Towers continues to tinker with the Chaos LC roster.

The PLL announced Friday night that Chaos LC acquired Chris Cloutier from Atlas LC in exchange for a third-round pick in the 2022 College Draft. Just minutes later, Chaos sent goalie Dillon Ward to Waterdogs LC for Wes Berg and a first-round pick in the 2022 College Draft.
