Name: Reed Barbe
Hometown: Greenwich, Conn.
Position: Attack
Year: Junior
High School: Suffield Academy
Club/tournament teams: Big 3
Being recruited by: Villanova, Bryant, Princeton, Stony Brook
Academic interests: Economics says: "Reed does a great job creating space from behind the cage in settled situations, making him dangerous as a feeder or going to the net. He is quick and works hard on the ride."

Reed says: "The recruiting process has been truly unique for me. Last summer and spring, I was unknowingly playing on a fractured back. I was consistently feeling pain while I played, which limited my movement. When I found out what was causing the pain (a lumbar fracture), I had to immediately cease from all athletic activity. I was truly fortunate that the colleges that are recruiting me now were able to see me play in the summer. The coaches that I have contacted have been extremely receptive to my e-mails and calls. When you visit campuses, it helps to show you which schools are right for you academically and athletically."
