Tom Hayes' lacrosse life has taken him to more than 40 countries on multiple continents. Check out his unique journey.
During nearly 30 years of service to international lacrosse, Hayes has helped grow the game from four to 45 member nations, after Thailand, Hungary, Uganda, Israel and Russia joined in 2011, along with China and Peru in 2012. At least 40 were required for SportAccord acceptance. More countries will join soon, and it's reasonable that there will be 100 member nations by 2024, the realistic opportunity for Olympic participation. Prospective new members include: Chile, Colombia, Croatia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Estonia, Greece, Malaysia, Panama, Philippines and Singapore. (Image © Lee Weissman)
