Reebok Inks Dawson, Veltman, Steenhuis, Carey

CANTON, Mass. -- The sport of lacrosse has seen the most dramatic growth of any sport in the U.S. in recent years and Reebok wants people to know the faces behind the phenomenon.  Reebok is proud to announce the additions of Dan Dawson and Daryl Veltman of the Boston Blazers, Mark Steenhuis of the Buffalo Bandits, and Dan Carey of the Colorado Mammoth to their lacrosse family. These four players bring a wealth of talent and experience to Reebok's already stellar line-up of professional lacrosse players, which includes Brodie Merrill and Matt Alrich. Reebok is the official equipment, uniform and footwear provider of the National Lacrosse League (NLL).

An eight-year veteran of the NLL, Dawson of the Boston Blazers was voted a starter in his fourth All-Star appearance in 2009 and is currently the league leader in assists with 51. He is the captain of a skilled Blazers team that is making a name for itself in the sports-crazed city of Boston. Steenhuis is also an eight-year veteran of the NLL who led his Buffalo Bandits to the 2008 Champions Cup. Steenhuis is a three-time NLL All-Star Game MVP and was voted the 2008 Transition Player of the Year.

Carey is a perennial NLL All-Star who is in his fourth season with the Colorado Mammoth.  Among the leagues top scorers, Carey has led the Mammoth to play-off appearances in each of the past 3 seasons including a win in the 2006 Champions Cup. Veltman of the Boston Blazers represents the top of the 2009 NLL rookie class. Boasting a stellar 22 goals and 30 assists this season, his passion for the indoor game has made him an instant success in his first season in the NLL.

Reebok recently released its first full line of lacrosse products utilizing proprietary technology such as the O Stick. A full range of gloves and protective equipment are available for any level player from beginners to pros. The men's product line is currently used by the entire NLL and is tested and proven to enhance performance on the field which is what Reebok's main focus is.   Women's lacrosse players can chose from Rebook's stylish complete sticks, handles and gloves. Also available are a full line of men's and women's lacrosse footwear and accessories including bags and balls.
